Charlie Jackson, a thirty year veteran of the Weymouth Police Department realized a lifelong dream when he opened The Referee's Crease in May 1983. Charlie completed a distinguished career as a police officer and was well know in the community. Charlie's true passion was hockey and he is best remembered for his contributions to the sport. He was a fixture on the Weymouth Hockey scene for over thirty years as a player, coach and referee.
Charlie's enduring legacy is the family owned Referee's Crease. Charlie's skill for sharpening and repairing skates was unsurpassed and was passed on to his step-sons. Young players would line up at his shop waiting to have a couple of goals put on their skates. The Referee's Crease cotinues Charlie's tradition of sharpening and repairs and support for the hockey community.
